LUMIERE BROTHERS
The LUMIERE BROTHERS (FATHERS OF CIENMA) where french brothers that pioneered the first film in cinemas that documented real life, they also manufacturers of photographic equipment who devised an early motion-picture camera and projector called the Cinématographe (“cinema” is derived from this name). They were also the innovators of adding the holes in the side of the film ratchet, which no one ever had done before. The brothers created the idea of projecting a film onto a screen for others to view, at a charge, this was the birth of cinemas.
The first time viewers saw the train the all screamed and cried as they thought the train wouldn't stop and come straight through the screen, as it was something no one had ever seen before.
