SERGEI EISENSTEIN
Sergei Eisenstein is a Soviet film director and film theorist, a pioneer in the theory and practice of montage. In Eisenstein film Battleship Potemkin a scene called “The Odessa Steps,” depicts the massacre of the citizens, that thrust Eisenstein and his film into the historical eminence that both occupy today. It is unquestionably the most famous sequence of its kind in film history, and Eisenstein displays his legendary ability to convey large-scale action scenes. This scene is mostly recognised for his iconic skill of editing the scene together to create a montage of events, this was something that had never been done before.
After researching and learning about Sergei Eisenstein I decided to have a go at putting together a montage scene of something just as simple of somebody falling over.
