PRELIMINARY TASK PITCH

The preliminary task is a 2 minute long documentary extract, in ‘The day of the life of’. I will be working independently on my ‘Preliminary Task’ and will be using (Bill Nichols) participatory mode. In the 2 minutes of the extract I will be filming my self throughout the day at my boarding school, I will be showing the target audience who will be teens aged 12-18, about the differences I now face at school during the pandemic. I will be using archived footage and heading from newspapers both online and print, to shows the effects that COVID 19  has not only had on students like me, the effects on the rest of the world. I will use techniques such as voice overs and captions to explain the events that I am showing and reconstructing in my extract. I have been influenced by ‘Super Sized Me’ and carefully analysed certain extracts and would like to included some similar techniques into my small documentary extract. I will use the current issues that as a nation we are facing in the year of 2020 and how it has effected me.
